This qualification is an ideal first step towards other higher level NEBOSH qualifications including NEBOSH National General Certificate.

This qualification has been accredited and credit rated by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and sits in the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

Contents of the course;

This 3 day course covers the basic health and safety principles and practices essential in the workplace. These include:

Identification of hazards

Understanding risk

Understanding the process of risk assessing

Understanding risk controls using the hierarchy of control

Applying these control strategies to a number of common workplace hazards, including fire, electrical, transport and manual handling.

Duration:  One day per week for three weeks

Assessment; Multiple choice examinations take place on the afternoon of day 3 & practical assessment will be completed within the time of the course
