This 18th Edition qualification is primarily aimed at practicing electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals to update and enhance their understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations.  It is intended to ensure that individuals are conversant with the format, content, and application of the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671 2018; 18^th Edition Wiring Regulations.

If you have passed your 18^th Edition since the last amendment, then you can take this shorter 1-day 18^th Edition update course. Because we like to avoid unnecessary costs and saving valuable time, this refresher will cover the topics you need to know about from the new regulations. The main benefit being that you avoid re-learning subjects which you are already competent in.

Please note that this is not a shortcut, and you will still need to sit the 60 question, 2-hour examination. You will also need to complete the full 3 day 18th Edition if you have not yet completed the 18th Edition prior.

An agreement was made between all awarding organisations and the JIB that all those sitting an exam based on BS 7671-2018 should be able to understand all parts and not just the changes.  Therefore there will not be an update examination, all candidates will sit the two hour, 60 question, open-booked online examination which will cover all aspects of BS 7671.

We offer an exceptional three day course delivered by Mr Aaron Portis.  The course concludes on day three with the open-booked online examination and candidates know their result before they leave our training facility.
