We all have a responsibility to play our role in protecting the environment for future generations. There are moral, legal and financial reasons why organisations need to take a positive approach to reduce any negative impact their businesses may have on the environment. An ‘impact’ is the adverse effect that the contaminant has on a target or receptor. When a contaminant is released into the environment, we need to recognise that the impact may be local or global. The environment encompasses; the physical resources of the Earth including air, water, land and raw materials, the living resources of animal and plant life and human populations.
The Nebosh Certificate in Environmental Management provides those with responsibility in managing the environmental impact of their organisation with a foundation knowledge and competency to carry out their role effectively. Upon successful completion the candidate will gain a level 3 qualification which is highly regarded in all industry as well as the public sector. The course is delivered one day per week for five weeks, plus the examination.
