NEBOSH qualifications are held in high regard by organisations in all industry and the Nebosh Diploma is a natural progression from the Nebosh General Certificate which provides a level 6 qualification. (It is not essential to hold the NGC, however it would provide an excellent foundation understanding as the Diploma course assumes this level of competency and starts where the certificate leaves off).
The Nebosh National Diploma provides the core health and safety knowledge which is transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector. It is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge essential for a person pursuing a professional career in the health and safety sector.
The qualification is divided into four units, each of which is assessed separately;
- Unit A: Managing health and safety
- Unit B: Hazardous agents in the workplace
- Unit C: Workplace and work equipment safety
- Unit D: Application of health and safety theory and practice.
Delegates may choose to take individual units; A, B & C in any order and will be awarded a certificate for each unit passed. Please find below dates of commencement for each of the units currently scheduled:
Currently delivering Unit B with examination on 19th January 2016
(Next Unit B commences on January 2017)
Commencing 10th March 2016
Commencing 22nd September 2016
Duration of course; a total of 31 taught days
Current examination dates;
Unit A: 19th January 2016, 12th July 2016, January 2017
Unit B: 19th January 2016, 13th July 2016, January 2017
Unit C: 14th July 2016, January 2017
Unit D: 8000 word assignment – this is the last Unit to be submitted and there are four dates per year for submission of this assignment; February, May, August and November.
Please note as above: this qualification can be completed over a five year period, which allows ample time for study, however for those who are committed to achieving this much coveted qualification, this can be achieved in around fifteen months.
