This is a risk management based health and safety training course which provides an introduction to Health and Safety for supervisors and managers in all types of organisations who are required to manage efficiently and effectively the activities for which they are responsible without endangering their workforce, other people, the environment or the physical assets of the organisation and in accordance with the Safety Policy of the organisation and Health and Safety Legislation’.
The course teaches the manager to apply good management principles of Health and Safety as part of total management strategy. It covers the foundations of health and safety, hazard identification, the risk assessment process, applying the hierarchy of risk control, an overview of the law, understanding common hazards, accident investigation and measuring performance. It is interactive and informative and is highly recommended for anyone who has responsibility for the health and safety of themselves and others.
The course is structured in seven modules and is delivered one day per week for three weeks.
