The New IOSH Managing Safely course has been launched and is even more informative, motivational and interactive.  This superb risk management based health and safety course is now delivered over three days.  IOSH always ask for feedback from delegates, tutors and training providers about their courses and they listen.  With this in mind the new IOSH course includes new DVD’s, Common Hazard scenarios, and covers; the foundations of health and safety ‘why we manage safety in the workplace’, hazard identification, the risk assessment process, risk control, understanding the implications of a variety of common hazards, an overview of health and safety law, accident investigation and measuring performance.  This closely follows the new HSG 65 guidance ‘plan, do, check and act’

Managers, Supervisors, team leaders, health and safety reps., and anyone with responsibility for managing the health and safety of themselves and others in the workplace would greatly benefit from completing this course.  The certificates no longer have an expiry date, so it is up to the individual employer when it is time to refresh the training.  Health and Safety legislation dictates that all training needs to be refreshed periodically.  Your risk assessment and behavioral audits will guide you to know when this is necessary and of course regular refresher training will reduce the risk of bad habits becoming the norm!
